When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ivan Wrigley put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rufus Broadbent. Kyle East kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Kyle East was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laindon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stalowe United the free kick. The supporters of Stalowe United booed when Laindon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle East didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Stalowe United's Aaron Lawless got control of the ball when Martyn Bullock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laindon FC's Rufus Broadbent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Wrigley in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd play minute Martyn Bullock came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aaron Lawless. 1-1. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stalowe United's goalkeeper Aaron Lawless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Kyle East took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Aaron Lawless to make any attempt to save it. Ivan Wrigley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th match minute, Laindon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Rutherford to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Miles hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ivan Wrigley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rufus Broadbent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Gettins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Wrigley to strike the kick off in the second half. Kyle East sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Lawless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyn Bullock in the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Stalowe United got a freekick which was hit by Toby Askew. The throw-in from Kurt Miles in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Stalowe United's Dane Payne. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Wrigley in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rufus Broadbent prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Trev Granger in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stalowe United's Craig Rundle. After a defensive mix-up in Laindon FC's zone, Ivan Wrigley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Broadbent came out of the goal and Ivan Wrigley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Laindon FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Wrigley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Calum Mullen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rufus Broadbent having to make a save. Ivan Wrigley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Broadbent having to interfere. Noel Gettins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rufus Broadbent came out and tried to block the shot, but Noel Gettins slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 79th minute. Ivan Wrigley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rufus Broadbent having to make a save. Stalowe United's Dane Payne quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kurt Miles, made in the 86th minute of the game. Rufus Broadbent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Wrigley in the 87th minute of play. Calum Mullen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rufus Broadbent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 93 in the game by Ivan Wrigley from a close distance when the talented Rufus Broadbent managed to make a qualified save. Laindon FC's players were relieved. Stalowe United were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
