Herman Collin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Bark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute of the match Linus Forsberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herman Collin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Herman Collin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Bark in the 11th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Hans Lundkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Collin was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Vilhelm Lingren hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Herman Collin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Bark's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Kjell-Arne Vall fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borås BK's protests and gave Kjell-Arne Vall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Kjell-Arne Vall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 29 minutes, Hans Lundkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Djurgårdens IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Lundkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingvar Söderqwist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Låsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. When Djurgårdens IF's Hans Lundkvist in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borås BK's goalie prevented a goal. Herman Collin came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Djurgårdens IF's Aron Bark. But to his dismay, Aron Bark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mathias Ersman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Låsberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Bark in the 46th minute of play forced Borås BK's goalkeeper Herman Collin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Mathias Ersman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Borås BK's Herman Collin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Borås BK from getting a goal against them. 53 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Ersman came free, but Alfred Låsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Hans Lundkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Herman Collin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the game, Aron Bark recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herman Collin. Aron Bark showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Borås BK's Herman Collin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Borås BK from getting a goal against them. Alfred Låsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Söderqwist in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Lundkvist got free with Herman Collin in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hans Lundkvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 83rd playminute. With his leg Herman Collin managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Djurgårdens IF's Hans Lundkvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Bark in the 92nd minute of play forced Borås BK's goalkeeper Herman Collin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Djurgårdens IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Djurgårdens IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
