Herman Ahlén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leif Stålberg having to interfere. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bror Viberg sped through Hortlax RK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leif Stålberg. In the 13th match minute, Hortlax RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Hellgren to maneuver through the defense. Gösta Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Edvard Hellgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Hortlax RK's Leif Stålberg got control of the ball when Bror Viberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Dynamo Luleå booed when Hortlax RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Hellgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bror Viberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Leif Stålberg made a huge save. Christian Lagerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Herman Ahlén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leif Stålberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 47th match minute, Hortlax RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Christoffersson to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herman Ahlén to strike the kick off in the second half. Johannes Mårtensson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bror Viberg kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Bror Viberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Hortlax RK's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Ahlén came free, but Leif Stålberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Stålberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Ahlén, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Marc Wästerberg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Leif Stålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Viberg in the 70th minute of play. Christer Collin's late challenge caught a Dynamo Luleå's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Collin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Hortlax RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Collin to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Herman Ahlén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dynamo Luleå's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hortlax RK the free kick. Herman Ahlén took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Stålberg. Leif Stålberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. There was no doubt that Dynamo Luleå were the better team. Dynamo Luleå's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
