An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Poniewaz in the 9th minute of play forced Dream Team Gniezno's goalkeeper Augusto Batalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Dream Team Gniezno's Raúl Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislaw Fronczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Christian Vieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Augusto Batalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nankatsu's Stanislaw Fronczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Campomanes in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dream Team Gniezno's Joel Campomanes got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Beniamin Zbytniewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nankatsu's Stanislaw Fronczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Christian Vieri, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 38 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Augusto Batalla was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, Dream Team Gniezno's Augusto Batalla got control of the ball when Christian Vieri tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nankatsu's zone, Raúl Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislaw Fronczak came out of the goal and Raúl Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Vieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stanislaw Fronczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Raúl Silveira struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Stanislaw Fronczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dream Team Gniezno. Stanislaw Fronczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Silveira in the 61st minute of play. Augusto Batalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Vieri in the 67th minute of the match. If Raúl Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Nankatsu's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Silveira came free, but Stanislaw Fronczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nankatsu's zone, Beniamin Zbytniewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislaw Fronczak came out of the goal and Beniamin Zbytniewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Vieri during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the match, Dream Team Gniezno's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Kendra came free, but Augusto Batalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beniamin Zbytniewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balázs Vándor's late challenge caught a Nankatsu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balázs Vándor helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dream Team Gniezno's Balázs Vándor got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Nankatsu getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Damian Kendra hit a great ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
