An unexpectedly hard shot by Ab Klerk in the 3rd minute of play forced Domwier Excelsior's goalkeeper Johannes Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Holt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Bakker, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The supporters of Domwier Excelsior booed when Oldetrine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed van der Linden didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Oldetrine getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ed van der Linden hit a great ball. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Ronald Bult elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jim Bakker took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Holt. Johannes Holt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Johannes Holt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jim Bakker's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 26 played minutes Oldetrine got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Laguardia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Nascimento in the 29th minute of play forced Domwier Excelsior's goalkeeper Johannes Holt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Ronald Bult shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folker Hillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martien Bronkhorst kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Johannes Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ab Klerk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domwier Excelsior's Johannes Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ab Klerk in the 36th minute of play. Ab Klerk succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Harmen Baan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Domwier Excelsior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oldetrine the free kick. After 51 played minutes Domwier Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Harmen Baan. Johannes Holt came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Oldetrine's Ab Klerk. But to his dismay, Ab Klerk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 62 minutes, Daniël Middeljans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Domwier Excelsior and the Oldetrine players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the match, Jim Bakker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Holt, 1-4. 67 minutes into the game, Jim Bakker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Holt. Jim Bakker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Bult in the 70th minute of play forced Oldetrine's goalkeeper Folker Hillen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Ab Klerk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johannes Holt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Johannes Holt made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ab Klerk sent off a good shot on target. Johannes Holt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Bakker in the 77th minute of play. Folker Hillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martien Bronkhorst, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Johannes Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Bakker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Domwier Excelsior defense, Jim Bakker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Holt. The Domwier Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Holt should have stopped the shot. The Oldetrine players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
