With a little luck, CS U Boteni's Tiberiu Godeanu got control of the ball when Manole Șofran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Olimpiu Vătăşel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Enache during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes CS U Boteni got a freekick which was hit by George Enache. When Emil Hobjilă fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS U Boteni's protests and gave Emil Hobjilă a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CS U Boteni getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Emil Hobjilă hit a great ball. Manole Șofran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Tiberiu Godeanu made a huge save. Irinel Bulcă took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudiu Marghescu. Claudiu Marghescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Manole Șofran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute George Enache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Marghescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC MITI's zone, Vintilă Encuțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudiu Marghescu came out of the goal and Vintilă Encuțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Irinel Bulcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudiu Marghescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Irinel Bulcă ran back to his position shaking his head. 42 minutes into the match, CS U Boteni's Emil Hobjilă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudiu Marghescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The excitement rose when CS U Boteni's Vintilă Encuțu after 46 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for FC MITI's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2.

55 minutes into the match, George Enache notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC MITI's Claudiu Marghescu. Claudiu Marghescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Șerban Doroftei hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Claudiu Marghescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Irinel Bulcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudiu Marghescu made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Emil Hobjilă sent off a good shot on target. George Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Marghescu having to interfere. Irinel Bulcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Marghescu having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, CS U Boteni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Todea to maneuver through the defense. Emil Hobjilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Costică Todea managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS U Boteni's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Todea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudiu Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Irinel Bulcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irinel Bulcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Marghescu having to interfere. Emil Hobjilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Claudiu Marghescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC MITI's Traian Costache got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC MITI's zone, Emil Hobjilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudiu Marghescu came out of the goal and Emil Hobjilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Marghescu having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded CS U Boteni left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC MITI.
