Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Centurion Lions's Vasile Muntian started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute of the match, Leonard Pivniceru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiberiu Godeanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leonard Pivniceru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costică Todea kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Irinel Bulcă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Felix Acatincăi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CS U Boteni's Șerban Doroftei got a free kick in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Vasile Muntian took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tiberiu Godeanu to make any attempt to save it. Emil Hobjilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 30 minutes, George Enache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS U Boteni's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Enache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Leonard Pivniceru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Godeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Irinel Bulcă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Felix Acatincăi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Centurion Lions's zone, Emil Hobjilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Acatincăi came out of the goal and Emil Hobjilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costică Todea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Felix Acatincăi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CS U Boteni's Emil Hobjilă got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Irinel Bulcă to make the kick off. Felix Acatincăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Bulcă in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Vasile Muntian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Centurion Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasile Muntian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Godeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Irinel Bulcă came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the CS U Boteni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Bulcă couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Leonard Pivniceru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centurion Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 80th minute, Leonard Pivniceru made a precise shot to the right of Tiberiu Godeanu. CS U Boteni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Vintilă Encuțu fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS U Boteni's protests and gave Vintilă Encuțu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CS U Boteni getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vintilă Encuțu hit a great ball. Costică Todea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Centurion Lions's goalkeeper Felix Acatincăi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Centurion Lions's Felix Acatincăi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Centurion Lions from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, Centurion Lions could leave the field as winners, despite CS U Boteni having more of the ball for most of the match.
