Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juozas Dagilis started the match with the kick off. Klemensas Labuckas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Audrius Ganusauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alfonsas Kančelskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Audrius Ganusauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klemensas Labuckas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Einaras Ambrazas during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Draustukas booed when FC Joniskis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einaras Ambrazas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonas Lozoraitis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonsas Kančelskis. FC Joniskis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Draustukas's Vaidotas Bagavičius in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Joniskis's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Draustukas's Marius Avelis got control of the ball when Klemensas Labuckas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Draustukas's zone, Juozas Dagilis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Avelis came out of the goal and Juozas Dagilis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merūnas Brazauskas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Klemensas Labuckas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Avelis having to interfere. FC Joniskis's Alfonsas Kančelskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaidotas Bagavičius in the 45th minute of play. Audrius Ganusauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alfonsas Kančelskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vaidotas Bagavičius was the one to do the kick off. Vaidotas Bagavičius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonsas Kančelskis came out and tried to block the shot, but Vaidotas Bagavičius slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 55th minute. The supporters of Draustukas booed when FC Joniskis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidas Remeika didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Draustukas's Audrius Ganusauskas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Marius Avelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juozas Dagilis in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Joniskis's zone, Vaidotas Bagavičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonsas Kančelskis came out of the goal and Vaidotas Bagavičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonsas Kančelskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaidotas Bagavičius in the 72nd minute of play. Alfonsas Kančelskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaidotas Bagavičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juozas Dagilis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Avelis having to interfere. Marius Avelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juozas Dagilis in the 78th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Alfonsas Kančelskis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 81 minutes into the match, FC Joniskis's goal looked a bit too open when Vaidotas Bagavičius came free, but Alfonsas Kančelskis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svajūnas Eigirdas charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svajūnas Eigirdas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vaidotas Bagavičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alfonsas Kančelskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Joniskis's Alfonsas Kančelskis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Joniskis from getting a goal against them. After 95 played minutes FC Joniskis got a freekick which was hit by Juozas Dagilis. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
