An unexpectedly hard shot by Petri Palenius in the 4th minute of play forced Kylänlahti's goalkeeper Veli Mäkiaho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Petri Palenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huovila IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Petri Palenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veli Mäkiaho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veli Mäkiaho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petri Palenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Huovila IFK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Eero Savijoki hit a great ball. Elmer Malmivaara made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Urmas Kinisjärvi sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Kylänlahti's Urmas Kinisjärvi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elmer Malmivaara. Elmer Malmivaara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 34 minutes, Urmas Kinisjärvi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kylänlahti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urmas Kinisjärvi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Kylänlahti's Esa Rautee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elmer Malmivaara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Kylänlahti's Urmas Kinisjärvi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elmer Malmivaara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kylänlahti's zone, Miska Miettinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Veli Mäkiaho came out of the goal and Miska Miettinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute Esa Rautee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmer Malmivaara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petri Palenius to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Kylänlahti's goal looked a bit too open when Petri Palenius came free, but Veli Mäkiaho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Veli Mäkiaho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petri Palenius in the 55th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Huovila IFK's Petri Palenius ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Veli Mäkiaho. Veli Mäkiaho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 65 minutes into the game, Samuel Hauhtonen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kylänlahti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huovila IFK the free kick. Samuel Hauhtonen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Miska Miettinen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Huovila IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miska Miettinen couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Kylänlahti getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Juuso Tervo hit a great ball. Veli Mäkiaho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petri Palenius in the 73rd minute of the match. Veli Mäkiaho made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Miska Miettinen sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, Kylänlahti's goalkeeper Veli Mäkiaho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miska Miettinen. Elmo Jantunen's late challenge caught a Huovila IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elmo Jantunen helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Miska Miettinen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miska Miettinen got free with Veli Mäkiaho in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kylänlahti's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Petri Palenius 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. When Juuso Tervo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kylänlahti's protests and gave Juuso Tervo a yellow card for diving instead. Juuso Tervo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
