Jukka Brinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Lumme in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 minutes of play, PR Merkkausvirhe's Jyri Etula made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jukka Brinck was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Janne Grönvall fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sjundeby FC's protests and gave Janne Grönvall a yellow card for diving instead. Janne Grönvall hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, PR Merkkausvirhe's Jouko Louke tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Joakim Lumme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jukka Brinck. Sjundeby FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joakim Lumme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The referee gave PR Merkkausvirhe a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jouko Louke, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sjundeby FC's Jukka Brinck. 0-3. Einari Teräs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Akseli Sulku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jukka Brinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyri Etula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th play minute Joonatan Kuparinen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Akseli Sulku. 1-3. Akseli Sulku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Einari Teräs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Jalmari Karhunen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PR Merkkausvirhe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sjundeby FC the free kick. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jyri Etula to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sjundeby FC's Jukka Brinck got control of the ball when Jyri Etula tried to sneak it across the goal line. Einari Teräs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Einari Teräs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Akseli Sulku was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joonatan Kuparinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akseli Sulku having to interfere. Pentti Brinck hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Hemmo Lääkkö kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PR Merkkausvirhe's zone, Einari Teräs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akseli Sulku came out of the goal and Einari Teräs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Einari Teräs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jyri Etula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jukka Brinck having to interfere. Jyri Etula might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jukka Brinck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jyri Etula ran back to his position shaking his head. Joakim Lumme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sjundeby FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Sjundeby FC's Joonatan Kuparinen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Joonatan Kuparinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Joakim Lumme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PR Merkkausvirhe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 89th minute, Jyri Etula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Joonatan Kuparinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akseli Sulku was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PR Merkkausvirhe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
