SAS's Elias Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Melo in the 29th minute of play. Laércio do Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio do Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ booed when SAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SAS getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Evaristo Furtado hit a great ball. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Laércio do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio do Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elias Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th match minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Falcão to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Roger Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulysses Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Bertassi in the 65th minute of play. Erik Leite scored 2-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Melo during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Roger Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Beto Maia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Gerber skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Erik Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, Toninho da Fonseca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elias Vieira. Toninho da Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 90th minute of the match Daniel Bezerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses Gerber skillfully saved the ball. Elias Vieira made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Roger Melo sent off a good shot on target. Roger Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Elias Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
