The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ruy de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Falcão in the 5th minute of the match. Ruy de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Falcão in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho da Fonseca got free with Ruy de Amorim in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Doni Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ulysses Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, José Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Skull Sport F.C's goalkeeper Ruy de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho da Fonseca. 31 minutes into the game, Fiori Falcão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy de Amorim. Fiori Falcão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Fiori Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy de Amorim having to interfere. Toninho da Fonseca took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy de Amorim. Ruy de Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Adilson Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fiori Falcão to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Fiori Falcão notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Skull Sport F.C's Ruy de Amorim. Ruy de Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Hortêncio Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Vaz's late challenge caught a Skull Sport F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dida Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Dida Vaz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Doni Montenegro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Skull Sport F.C's Ruy de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho da Fonseca in the 69th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Toninho da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skull Sport F.C's Ruy de Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruy de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Toninho da Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Ruy de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho da Fonseca in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Fiori Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Ulysses Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ from getting a goal against them. When Laércio do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's protests and gave Laércio do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio do Valle to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ had won after a very even match.
