The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodoro Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo de Lara in the 4th minute of play. José Paulo de Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcinho Mineiro took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Alagoano. Teodoro Alagoano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Teodoro Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Cidro in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Zonta. If Santiago Cidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, José Paulo de Lara notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rezende FC's Teodoro Alagoano. Teodoro Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rezende FC's Teodoro Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Mineiro in the 25th minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Florestal Futebol Clube's José Paulo de Lara made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Rezende FC's Aloísio Guimarães slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Braga. That made the score 1-4 after 36 minutes of play. In the 40th minute José Paulo de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute José Paulo de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute Marcinho Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 51st minute, Florestal Futebol Clube's Marcinho Mineiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Cícero Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Marcinho Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Teodoro Alagoano made a huge save. Florestal Futebol Clube made a substitution. Zé Paulo de Toledo replaced Theo Spillmann. Teodoro Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo de Lara in the 70th minute of the match. Teodoro Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Guimarães in the 73rd minute of the match. Florestal Futebol Clube made a substitution. A nice corner shot did that Sherif Cannavaro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Alagoano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard shot 88 in the game by Horácio Maciel from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Alagoano managed to make a qualified save. Rezende FC's players were relieved. In the 89th minute, José Paulo de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florestal Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. After 92nd play minutes José Paulo de Lara shot 1-10, a short shot which went by Teodoro Alagoano and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Maciel in the 96th minute of play forced Rezende FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Rezende FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Florestal Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
