When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aníbal Sá made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Sá in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Huarte saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. After 53 minutes Astillero del Guayas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tarcisio Couto who took care of the corner kick. Walter Huarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar de Moraes in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marques Martin to maneuver through the defense. Taquaritinga's Haroldo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cevallos Provencio in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Breno Loyola got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
