Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Juninho Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Furlan was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. When Oscar Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Gameleira A.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Juninho Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Furlan having to interfere. In the 10th minute Juninho Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Valladares in the 11th minute of play. It was joyful for the audience to see Artur Saldanha dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 17th played minute and put the ball into the net. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Gameleira A.C.'s Juninho Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanni Furlan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Saldanha in the 24th minute of the match. Oscar Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecus Futebol Clube's Geovanni Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Valladares in the 39th minute of play. Geovanni Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Mineiro went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Oscar Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Valladares in the 48th minute of play forced Ecus Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Geovanni Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erivaldo Novaes to make the kick off. Artur Saldanha came free in the 53rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Emerson Soares, but to the joy of Gameleira A.C.'s supporters the ball went over. Erivaldo Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emerson Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erivaldo Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecus Futebol Clube's Artur Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Saldanha missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Emerson Soares right hand side. Gameleira A.C.'s Oscar Mineiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Agnaldo de Queiroz, made in the 64th minute of the game. If Juninho Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juninho Valladares got free with Geovanni Furlan in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juninho Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Geovanni Furlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gameleira A.C.. In the 78th minute of the game Agnaldo de Queiroz made a throw-in which Artur Saldanha played forward. The throw-in from Agnaldo de Queiroz in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gameleira A.C.'s Oscar Mineiro. In the 81st minute, Ecus Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Juninho Valladares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Hélio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecus Futebol Clube's Geovanni Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ecus Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gameleira A.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
