Manfredo Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Catarinense in the 3rd minute of the match. Sebo de Ovelha MZC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Ibitiuva's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafa Donatello took the corner. Manuel Sousa's late challenge caught a Sebo de Ovelha MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. Isaltino Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oswaldo Brodel having to make a save. In the 9th minute, Nilmar Furlan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibitiuva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Francisco Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manfredo Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Catarinense in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Charles Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valério Guerra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oswaldo Brodel. Sebo de Ovelha MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oswaldo Brodel came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibitiuva's Nilmar Furlan. But to his dismay, Nilmar Furlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 33 minutes, Isaltino Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibitiuva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Isaltino Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Sebo de Ovelha MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Furlan came free, but Oswaldo Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Isaltino Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaltino Lopez struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Oswaldo Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibitiuva. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilmar Furlan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebo de Ovelha MZC's Oswaldo Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Sebo de Ovelha MZC from getting a goal against them. Oswaldo Brodel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Clemente Melo sent off a good shot on target. Oswaldo Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Furlan in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Francisco Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibitiuva fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Oswaldo Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Felipe Aparecido suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of Ibitiuva booed when Sebo de Ovelha MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Lopez got the audiences attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 80th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. In the 81st minute, Nilmar Furlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Francisco Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sebo de Ovelha MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Isaltino Lopez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Oswaldo Brodel, passed just outside the right post. Oswaldo Brodel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vitório Custódio went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The Sebo de Ovelha MZC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ibitiuva were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
