E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Valdés in the 13th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Adalberto Saldanha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedrinho Mello. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The throw-in from Antônio Carlos Martins in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Os Pernetas Suburbanos's Alfredinho Pitta. With a little luck, Os Pernetas Suburbanos's Pedrinho Mello got control of the ball when Adalberto Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. E.C XV de Piracicaba's Ediberto Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Paiva in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Os Pernetas Suburbanos booed when E.C XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edu Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Os Pernetas Suburbanos's goalkeeper Pedrinho Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Cardoso. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Vaz made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Dino Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrinho Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Vaz in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Os Pernetas Suburbanos's Marijan Razdevšek got a free kick in the 61st minute. Valdomiro Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Alfredinho Pitta hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Patrick Paiva's late challenge caught a E.C XV de Piracicaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Paiva helped the player get up and apologised.
