Caxias do Sul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 15th minute, Krisztián Véber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcinho Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Pochekanski came free, but Marcinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Sabóia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho de Senna went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Mario Pochekanski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Academia Santista CIMZ's Marcinho Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Academia Santista CIMZ from getting a goal against them. With his leg Marcinho Sabóia managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Mario Pochekanski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Academia Santista CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Academia Santista CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Samson Siemen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Sabóia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Krisztián Véber took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Sabóia. Marcinho Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 57th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Marcinho Sabóia came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Mario Pochekanski. But to his dismay, Mario Pochekanski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 60 minutes into the game, Mario Pochekanski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Marcinho Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Falcão in the 63rd minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Marcinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Academia Santista CIMZ defense, Krisztián Véber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcinho Sabóia. The Academia Santista CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcinho Sabóia should have stopped the shot. In the 71stth minute of the game Krisztián Véber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Santista CIMZ's Marcinho Sabóia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcinho Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Pochekanski's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho de Senna came free, but Marcinho Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krisztián Véber took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Sabóia. Marcinho Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Marcinho Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Pochekanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinei Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Mario Pochekanski took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Sabóia. Marcinho Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. Ricardinho de Senna took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Sabóia. Marcinho Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 15-0 when Mario Pochekanski sped through Academia Santista CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Sabóia. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fully deserved thier win.
