Nilson Lara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Interlaken MZ's Gilmar Reis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Gilmar Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Reis had several of the Grêmio Do Carmo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Nilson Lara as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir de Godoi during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Interlaken MZ booed when Grêmio Do Carmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gilmar Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Reis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Nilson Lara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gilmar Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Nilson Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gilmar Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Interlaken MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilmar Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gilmar Reis came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Interlaken MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilmar Reis couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Peter Stål got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Interlaken MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grêmio Do Carmo's Nilson Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Reis in the 63rd minute of play. Sixto Fernendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grêmio Do Carmo booed when Interlaken MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grêmio Do Carmo's Nilson Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Breckenfeld in the 68th minute of play. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gilmar Reis sped through Grêmio Do Carmo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilson Lara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Reis in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson Lara saved Grêmio Do Carmo from getting behind. Peter Stål fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Lara having to interfere. If Matei Nichitelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Matei Nichitelea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Interlaken MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Nichitelea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Grêmio Do Carmo's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Reis came free, but Nilson Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matei Nichitelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilmar Reis scored 5-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilson Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Interlaken MZ had played much better football throughout.
