Davi Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. —» F.C.R ƒøø†ß壣 MZ «—'s Davi Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Cruz in the 35th minute of play. Jean Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Paulo Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Sergipano having to interfere. Erasmo Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Bezerra having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Facao AD's goalkeeper Orlando Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Netto. After 45 played minutes Facao AD got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Pinheiro.

Facao AD's João Paulo Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Jean Cruz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Davi Sergipano, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Paraibano got free with Davi Sergipano in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Paulo Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Sergipano having to interfere. When Jean Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Facao AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Cruz couldn't finish the play. After having played for 72 minutes, João Paulo Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Facao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Paulo Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Davi Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Facao AD. Claudinho Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Paulo Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
