Leandro Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rony Varela's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Pirani in the 19th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Canhoba's goalkeeper Alfredão Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Laércio da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético Canhoba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arary SS the free kick. 21 minutes into the game, Vladimir Pirani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alfredão Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fiori Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Giuseppe Brasil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vladimir Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Pirani in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredão Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 played minutes Arary SS got a freekick which was hit by Clayton Jesus. If Giuseppe Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Lara having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Clube Atlético Canhoba got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Negri. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Canhoba's zone, Vladimir Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Lara came out of the goal and Vladimir Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, Clube Atlético Canhoba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Valle to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Giuseppe Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arary SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredão Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Arary SS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Clube Atlético Canhoba's Alfredão Lara got control of the ball when Giuseppe Brasil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giuseppe Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Pirani in the 60th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Canhoba's goalkeeper Alfredão Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rony Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredão Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Pirani in the 78th minute of the match. Clube Atlético Canhoba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Vladimir Pirani scored to the left of an out of position Alfredão Lara, making the score, 1-4. Leandro Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Varela in the 86th minute of play. Clube Atlético Canhoba's Alfredão Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Pirani in the 87th minute of play. Vladimir Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Alfredão Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
