Amador Saturnin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Birjaio in the 8th minute of play. Arnaldo Fertus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amador Saturnin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the RENGUEROS defense, Ramon Birjaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amador Saturnin. The RENGUEROS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amador Saturnin should have stopped the shot. After 16 minutes, Prudencio Osasun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RENGUEROS and the Black Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Burutzagi in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel Blasco saved Black Lions from getting behind. When Black Lions's Ramon Birjaio in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RENGUEROS's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Black Lions's Clodoveo Galindo got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Ramon Birjaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Birjaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Saturnin came out of the goal and Arnaldo Fertus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Arnaldo Fertus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ramon Birjaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Birjaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Saturnin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black Lions's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
