In the 7th minute Edelmiro Lartaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Salvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Leandro Cresenciano had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Gustavo Austin fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asterisco Cósmico's protests and gave Gustavo Austin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LECHERIA booed when Asterisco Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Goito hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Lartaun in the 18th minute of play forced Asterisco Cósmico's goalkeeper Igor Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asterisco Cósmico's Ladislao Galeno got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Galeno in the 24th minute of play forced LECHERIA's goalkeeper Nicolas Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abelardo Evangelista fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LECHERIA's protests and gave Abelardo Evangelista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to LECHERIA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Abelardo Evangelista hit a great ball. Abel Uxio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Ladislao Galeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Matteo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ciro Quinto charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Quinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciro Quinto hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Lartaun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Salvino. Edelmiro Lartaun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Asterisco Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Lartaun came free, but Igor Salvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Seguinus was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, LECHERIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 55th minute, when Asterisco Cósmico's Simon Diegotxe after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Nicolas Matteo in LECHERIA's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Igor Salvino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edelmiro Lartaun went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Edelmiro Lartaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Igor Salvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asterisco Cósmico's Gustavo Austin got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Gustavo Austin off the ground. After 67 played minutes Asterisco Cósmico got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Austin. If Edelmiro Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 71 played minutes Asterisco Cósmico got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Salvidor. Igor Salvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Lartaun in the 80th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Asterisco Cósmico got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Seguinus. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Abelardo Evangelista managed to get in a good position for a shot. LECHERIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Evangelista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Salvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Edelmiro Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the LECHERIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Lartaun couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Ciro Quinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asterisco Cósmico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
