The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Karl-Axel Pålsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Ödman hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Evolution's Karl-Axel Pålsson fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Tommy Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Tommy Sefastsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrian Wahlström. Tommy Sefastsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Hannes Örtlund struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Fabian Grubb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Älghult RK. In the 24th match minute, Evolution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Kaxe to maneuver through the defense. In the 26thth minute of the game Hannes Örtlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Evolution's Fabian Grubb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Wahlström didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Evolution's Tommy Sefastsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Evolution's Fabian Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Örtlund in the 32nd minute of play. Karl-Axel Pålsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Skark in the 40th minute of play forced Evolution's goalkeeper Fabian Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Evolution's Alexander Jönsson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Älghult RK's Oskar Sandberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Evolution.

The wind increased when Tommy Sefastsson made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Älghult RK's Fabian Grubb threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jens-Ola Skark, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jens-Ola Skark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Grubb having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sören Kaxe during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 65 minutes, Jens-Ola Skark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Älghult RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ola Skark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 minutes, Ingvar Lång mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evolution and the Älghult RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Älghult RK booed when Evolution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Lång didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Evolution's zone, Jens-Ola Skark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Grubb came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Skark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Tommy Sefastsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Evolution fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Evolution's Fabian Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Skark in the 78th minute of play. Emanuel Ödman's late challenge caught a Evolution's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Ödman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rdth minute of the game Karl-Axel Pålsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Älghult RK's Adrian Wahlström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl-Axel Pålsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Adrian Wahlström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Jens-Ola Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Grubb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Fabian Grubb managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Älghult RK's Hannes Örtlund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tommy Sefastsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evolution's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Sefastsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Wahlström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Ola Skark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Grubb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Älghult RK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Evolution.
