Seeking advice on how to limit red cards..
Last season I got 5 in the league (nearly double any other team), this season I’ve had another after 2 games.
Previously I’ve thought it could be down to speed (all my defenders now have 10 speed & minimum 8 stamina).
I’ve also read PI a factor although again everyone has a decent count.
I’ve also read it could be a certain player in a certain position needs changing. However, 5 different players have received my last 5 red cards across different formations!
The only other suggestion I’ve read is that a high defensive line can increase your probability. However, most teams seem to employ this vs wings without the same issues?
So i’m opening it up to whether I have really bad luck or happy to take critique on how I lineup! Thanks in advance!

you say that your players have "decent count" on play int. How many?
I aim 9 balls in play int. for my players with some exceptions but still I aim 9.
Basics, what I consider to influence cards are: speed, play int. tackling, experience and pressing style.
Players with high speed, high tackling and low play int. seem to create more cards. Specially when using "committed" pressing. So if your players lack play int. I would change pressing to normal to see if that produces better results.

Back 5 - are 6,7,8,9,9 on PI so room for improvement but both 9s have been sent off recently.
I’ve been trying to utilize committed press first 45 whilst players are freshest. Not sure the value in it if it causes that many cards!

Very dangerous to do that in my experience. Could also be a big contributing factor to the cards. Have most been in the later part of the first half or in the second half?
Players struggle to maintain committed tactic for long period of time unless they all have 9+ stamina

@chucky a mix but certainly committed seems to contribute to double yellows.
Of the last 6 reds - all have 9+ stamina so I’m inclined to think it’s more a PI issue.

It’s really a combination of everything mentioned. Even the position they play on the field.
I’ve even had players who just get more cards than others. I even called a player Pepe one time cause he was sent off a crazy time
