Inflated market due to various reasons but basically there is too much money out there. It is not just a US issue, its the transfer market in general. It will only get worse.

You do bring a great point there but it’s the quality of players is not there in our area. If we go to the top divisions and everyone has foreign players since they are inexpensive and they are in much better potion to be starters than the over priced US players

You need foreign players to be competitive at the top level anyhow. Very few managers can have a domestic team only and do well. It’s getting harder and harder to do that without owning half of your national team.
One of your fellow managers darkline ran a domestic team only for a while and did very well but he’s very experienced and had some quality.
Average players are now worth what good players once were and good players are now worth crazy amounts. If your patient and take a little risk now and then you can find players cheaper but need to be monitoring the transfer market all the timeEdited: 12-08-2021 08:58

I don't think American players are particularly expensive, I think they're actually cheaper than lets say Argentinians, Brazilians, etc. , those usually are way more expensive.

And while it might upset some people, that's actually very good. This is a consequence of the new scouting system, less good players are generated and lots of players are discarded because they don't have a "market friendly" scout report but I think it's actually good for the game, it takes some of the excess money from the game (and there's a lot of it) and it encourages managers into training their players, even players that don't have a superstar scout report.
I kinda gave up on training for the past few seasons as the prices for average players were ridiculously low, you expent a lot of money in training only to sell at a loss but I'm feeling the tide is turning and training players for your team or to sell might be a good investment again.
