Can a low P.I player make it?

Badge image
Was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on low PI players making an impact in their squads?
If not, what's your cutoff?
Is it just another race to 10 or are there instances where a cinder block of a mind was really useful?

well..if you want to be competitive at the very highest level, then anything below 9 play int. is not enough. 8 on some circumstances but this execption would be for 1, maximum 2 players in your starting 11.

And if you would have to make a decision between 7 speed and 9 play int. vs 9 speed and 7 play int. player, then 99% probability that I would choose the one with 9 play int.

Personally I carry a couple of 6/7 PI players in defence or defensive midfield if you get value off their other stats. High Exp seems to counterbalance some of the downside from that.

You need a high PI GK and main striker minimum or you will get very frustrated!

However, I do think since the introduction of the scout tool the general standard of youths has decreased (less top top players) so unless you have an unlimited bank balance we’ll be forced to make more trade offs/ carry more lower PI players for example.

Tbh I feel it’s a bit like hockey

You need 9/10 PI or you don’t make the top grade? So we need every player to be Brunel

Hockey you need 9/10 power or you don’t make it? So we need every player to compete in Strongman events.

These attributes have too much sway. Btw PI in Hockey is useless, work that out?

PI 4 ball still have impact.
Example my winger from china become best passer dan pass completed this season in Liga 1 Indonesia.
Speed 10, stamina 10, PI 4, Pass 8, shoot 8, BC 7, AP 10

It’s seems very dependent on managers and their ambitions. To be at the top PI is integral.

GK and Defenders PI is most important though. In my experience PI isn’t as important for strikers not 9 or 10 anyhow. If you looks at the great scorers and prolific scorers since the last sim update most of them aren’t beasts in PI. The proof is there. Strikers needs to be natural scorers which require hidden skills. We won’t go into that though as it just starts more arguments from the non-believers 😂

@handray I watched a bunch of your matches, it's because your chinese winger is the first winger, and over half his passes are little short passes to your more advanced winger, so that's going to throw your stats off.
