Not sure if this will help but here is a post done in a prior time.

the latest Java 7 update prevents the correct execution of the 3d mode, which is a shame (i have osx lion&firefox). I solved it by downgrading to java 6 via terminal:
sudo mkdir -p /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/disabled
<<<enter>>>
sudo mv /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/disabled
<<<enter>>>
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin
<<<enter>>>
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws
<<<enter>>>

3d is not compatible with MAC....
You can only view matches in 2d mode or in Analyzer....

however , if it worked for you prior to your java update, you could search and re install your previous version of java from the website, olderversion.com ..
