Tor-Egil Sollien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pompílio Rebello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Angola's Cláudio Pegacho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Torjus Stenersen in the 21 minute of the game. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Norway's C.J. Braut Haaland in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Pompílio Rebello was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Angola through an amazing save. Norway's Tor-Egil Sollien was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pompílio Rebello in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th minute Tor-Egil Sollien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompílio Rebello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pompílio Rebello made an important save on a dangerous shot by C.J. Braut Haaland in the 42nd minute. Edmundo Fontão kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Fontão to strike the kick off in the second half. Custódio Tremura hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Custódio Tremura during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Angola getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Custódio Tremura hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Angola's goal looked a bit too open when Steinar Flo came free, but Pompílio Rebello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that C.J. Cox got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pompílio Rebello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 61 minutes, Steinar Flo made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Angola's Pompílio Rebello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angola's Pompílio Rebello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steinar Flo in the 66th minute of play. Pompílio Rebello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor-Egil Sollien, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Angola's Pompílio Rebello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by C.J. Braut Haaland in the 74th minute of play. C.J. Braut Haaland took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pompílio Rebello. In the 86th minute Steinar Flo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompílio Rebello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Tor-Egil Sollien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pompílio Rebello. Angola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tor-Egil Sollien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 92 minutes of play, Norway's C.J. Braut Haaland made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompílio Rebello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Norway walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
