Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sigitas Makūnas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Klemensas Labuckas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Armin Barberio made a huge save. 7 minutes into the game, Klemensas Labuckas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armin Barberio. Klemensas Labuckas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eligijus Gruodis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonsas Kančelskis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Sporting Klapeida's Armin Barberio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juozas Dagilis in the 14th minute of play. Leocadio Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonsas Kančelskis having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match Irmantas Lavickas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonsas Kančelskis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Sporting Klapeida booed when FC Joniskis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Einaras Ambrazas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Armin Barberio managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when FC Joniskis's Klemensas Labuckas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfonsas Kančelskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigitas Makūnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sigitas Makūnas took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonsas Kančelskis. Alfonsas Kančelskis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tomas Galskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leocadio Barral might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonsas Kančelskis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leocadio Barral ran back to his position shaking his head. Sigitas Makūnas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonsas Kančelskis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, FC Joniskis's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Galskis came free, but Alfonsas Kančelskis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juozas Dagilis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sporting Klapeida's Eligijus Gruodis got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Irmantas Lavickas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armin Barberio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klemensas Labuckas, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Raimondas Mikutavičius kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Joniskis booed when Sporting Klapeida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irmantas Lavickas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eligijus Gruodis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonsas Kančelskis having to make a save. Alfonsas Kančelskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leocadio Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Irmantas Lavickas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armin Barberio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klemensas Labuckas in the 78th minute of the match. Armin Barberio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klemensas Labuckas in the 83rd minute of play. With his leg Alfonsas Kančelskis managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Sporting Klapeida's Sigitas Makūnas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 89 minutes, Vidas Remeika managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Joniskis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vidas Remeika was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting Klapeida fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute there was a penalty for FC Joniskis. Marius Matusevičius stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armin Barberio. 3-1. Alfonsas Kančelskis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leocadio Barral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 97 minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Joniskis could leave the field as winners, despite Sporting Klapeida having more of the ball for most of the match.
