Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Viksgård's Keijo Markkula started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Saarimäki FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Viksgård:s goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Keijo Markkula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viksgård's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keijo Markkula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Keijo Hauhtonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Saarimäki FC booed when Viksgård was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petteri Karvonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viksgård's Friedbert Bähner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Viksgård from getting a goal against them. Benjamin Salonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Viksgård's goalkeeper Friedbert Bähner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Usko Raita. Friedbert Bähner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Salonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saarimäki FC! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Viksgård. Keijo Markkula stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sauli Forss. 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Onni Rantala was the one to do the kick off. Onni Rantala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Friedbert Bähner having to make a save. After 59 played minutes Viksgård got a freekick which was hit by Kauko Mansikkamäki. 62 minutes into the game, Onni Rantala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Friedbert Bähner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Benjamin Salonen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saarimäki FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Salonen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Friedbert Bähner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viksgård's Friedbert Bähner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onni Rantala in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Viksgård getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kauko Mansikkamäki hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atso Koivu in the 83rd minute of play forced Viksgård's goalkeeper Friedbert Bähner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Viksgård booed when Saarimäki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atso Koivu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Saarimäki FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
