In the 14th minute Bohumil Janota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Bán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sándor Bán came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Czech Republic's Bohumil Janota. But to his dismay, Bohumil Janota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Seibert in the 21st minute of play forced U21 Hungary's goalkeeper Sándor Bán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Mirek Pavlica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Géza Kerékgyártó. Max Duchek hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Mirek Pavlica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vencel Lőrincz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vencel Lőrincz got free with Mirek Pavlica in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Bohumil Janota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Bán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Czech Republic's zone, Géza Kerékgyártó stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirek Pavlica came out of the goal and Géza Kerékgyártó tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, U21 Czech Republic's Mirek Pavlica got control of the ball when Vencel Lőrincz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mirek Pavlica made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Viktor Orbán sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th match minute, U21 Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frigyes Iványi to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, U21 Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Bohumil Janota came free, but Sándor Bán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Jan Průcha kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Hungary's zone, Max Duchek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Bán came out of the goal and Max Duchek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the U21 Czech Republic defense, Márton Sörös kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mirek Pavlica. The U21 Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mirek Pavlica should have stopped the shot. Sándor Bán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bohumil Janota in the 67th minute of the match. U21 Czech Republic's Mirek Pavlica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vencel Lőrincz in the 69th minute of play. Bohumil Janota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Hungary made a substitution. Fülöp Zombori replaced Márton Sörös. With his leg Sándor Bán managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when U21 Czech Republic's Miroslav Seibert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. U21 Hungary's Sándor Bán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bohumil Janota in the 75th minute of play. Miroslav Seibert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sándor Bán firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sándor Bán had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Bohumil Janota's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mirek Pavlica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fülöp Zombori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vencel Lőrincz in the 92nd minute of play forced U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper Mirek Pavlica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of U21 Czech Republic booed when U21 Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. György Dömötör didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Hungary made a substitution. Lóránd Fehér replaced Vencel Lőrincz. The U21 Czech Republic players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented U21 Hungary from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
