To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Espindola got free with Kenneth Smeland in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Will Henriquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ask Wold went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Norway's Ask Wold in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guatemala's goalie prevented a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Guatemala's goal looked a bit too open when Ask Wold came free, but Will Henriquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Will Henriquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ask Wold in the 15th minute of the match. With his leg Kenneth Smeland managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Guatemala's Gabriel Espindola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Gabriel Espindola got free in front of the goal in the 22nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Kenneth Smeland was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ask Wold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Will Henriquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ask Wold in the 24th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Espindola got free with Kenneth Smeland in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Will Henriquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ask Wold in the 27th minute of play. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ask Wold sped through Guatemala's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Will Henriquez. In the 31st minute, Misael Cerna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes Guatemala's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Silden who took care of the corner kick. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guatemala's goalkeeper Will Henriquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norway's Kenneth Smeland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Norway from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Guatemala:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Norway:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Misael Cerna in the 53rd minute of play forced Norway's goalkeeper Kenneth Smeland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guatemala's Will Henriquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Guatemala from getting a goal against them. Norway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Andersen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Will Henriquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Andersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ask Wold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Will Henriquez made a huge save. Will Henriquez came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Norway's Hans Andersen. But to his dismay, Hans Andersen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Misael Cerna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Kenneth Smeland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Hans Andersen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norway's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Andersen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Norway's Hans Andersen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Will Henriquez. Will Henriquez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Ask Wold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Will Henriquez having to make a save.
