If Dan Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dan Dalman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turi Alegria was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, Sweden's Dan Dalman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Turi Alegria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Dan Dalman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Turi Alegria, 3-0. In the 40th minute Dan Dalman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turi Alegria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Pablo Ramon charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Ramon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Ramon. Turi Alegria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Crosby, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Turi Alegria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Turi Alegria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 10-0 became the score in the 86th minute when Sidney Crosby elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Turi Alegria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villiam Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Sweden's Villiam Mårtensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Turi Alegria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Örjan Månsson hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Turi Alegria went to the wrong direction when Örjan Månsson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Sidney Crosby notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Peru's Turi Alegria. Turi Alegria was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sweden had played much better football throughout.
