In the 25th minute Fagildo Pamanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Manninger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexander Manninger. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Manchester United F.C.'s Alexander Manninger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 36th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Karbowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Legzdins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Legzdins came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Lütfi Selahaddin in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Consejo del Mate's Honorato Zambujal.
