Borys Lanczak came out and tried to block the shot, but Giuseppe Marques slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Sílvio Luís de Souza came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Borys Lanczak could save by the left post. Borys Lanczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Tikka, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Borys Lanczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Tikka in the 22nd minute of the match. Janusz Niedzwiecki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sawino SA's Nuno Tasso got a free kick in the 25th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
