In the 3rd minute, Timeteo Pinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gheorghe Dragalina during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sandro Maciel's late challenge caught a FC Urzicuța's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. Sandro Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ferdinand Bocșan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Al-Fajuth's Vítor da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Dascălu in the 25th minute of the match. Ulysses de Senna hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When Nicola Andrei came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the FC Urzicuța fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicola Andrei couldn't finish the play. If Gheorghe Dragalina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Maciel in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Urzicuța's goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicola Rareș took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yuri Quirino. Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Urzicuța's Nicola Andrei got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Dascălu in the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute FC Urzicuța were awarded a corner. Nicola Rareș went to the cornerflag to take it. Dorian do Vale tried in the 42nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Yuri Quirino a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. Horácio Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marcel Chiriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. David Adomniței hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timeteo Pinto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Urzicuța's Marcel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Gonçalves in the 52nd minute of play. In the 61st minute, Sandro Maciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Fajuth's zone, Nicola Andrei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Quirino came out of the goal and Nicola Andrei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Urzicuța's Marcel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timeteo Pinto in the 74th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Maciel in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Chiriță saved FC Urzicuța from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Maciel in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Chiriță prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Chiriță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Marcel Chiriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicola Andrei in the 96th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Al-Fajuth's Timeteo Pinto got a free kick in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Al-Fajuth players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Urzicuța.
