Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jupp Ota took the kick off in the first half of the match. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estefan Farron in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Fello Villegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute of the match Hugo Albuquerque shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elar Queron showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Jupp Ota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Serginho Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Jupp Ota made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Taffarel. MINEIROS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Serginho Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jupp Ota in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, CD SHETTANI's Lu Shu Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serginho Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 34th minute Jupp Ota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Jupp Ota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Toninho Goiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elar Queron could save by the left post. After 43 minutes of play, CD SHETTANI's Lu Shu Fan made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half CD SHETTANI were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Toninho Goiano made the kick off in the second half. Joel Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Benê Amorim hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Jupp Ota dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Serginho Taffarel, 0-6. Lu Shu Fan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serginho Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Lu Shu Fan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 58th minute. CD SHETTANI's Kenneth Aguilar was substituted for Estefan Farron. MINEIROS's Maicon Quintal was substituted for Benê Amorim. CD SHETTANI's Eladio Elizondo was substituted for Otto Ledezma. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of MINEIROS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD SHETTANI:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as CD SHETTANI's Lu Shu Fan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serginho Taffarel. That made the score 0-8 after 73 minutes of play. Hernan Mendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernan Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joel Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Fello Villegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD SHETTANI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MINEIROS the free kick. Fello Villegas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Toninho Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elar Queron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, CD SHETTANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fello Villegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th match minute, CD SHETTANI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Aguilar to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes CD SHETTANI got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Pinga. 98 minutes into the match, CD SHETTANI's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Quintal came free, but Elar Queron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over CD SHETTANI could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MINEIROS throughout the match.
