Gavino Rami's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejo Pacorro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in TALLERES DE CBA's zone, Carlos Erramu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Pacorro came out of the goal and Carlos Erramu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Alejo Elia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute Bonifacio Txerran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Colas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Guillermo Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Txerran in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, TALLERES DE CBA's Alejo Pacorro got control of the ball when Taci Argün tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Magallanes booed when TALLERES DE CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gavino Rami hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Higinio Bastiaro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guillermo Colas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Intxixu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes, TALLERES DE CBA's Higinio Bastiaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guillermo Colas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TALLERES DE CBA reached it. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Emanuele Luzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Colas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Wilfredo Jakes tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Guillermo Colas. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 87th minute. Higinio Bastiaro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Wilfredo Jakes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Hilario Sabino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Colas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. TALLERES DE CBA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
