After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Arenillas's zone, Octavio Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Barrufet came out of the goal and Octavio Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Nicholas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Roman Barrufet made a huge save. Roman Barrufet was a little too slow when Octavio Porfirio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. Roman Barrufet made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Filomeno Nicholas sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filomeno Nicholas got free with Roman Barrufet in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Formentera fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Formentera's Filomeno Nicholas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roman Barrufet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Nicholas in the 26th minute of the match. Santo Illan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wellington Piñeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético Arenillas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wellington Piñeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 33 minutes into the game, one of Atlético Arenillas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Atlético Arenillas:s Roman Barrufet showed great skill when he stopped Santo Illan:s penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Nicholas in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Barrufet saved Atlético Arenillas from getting behind. Atlético Arenillas's Roman Barrufet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Arenillas from getting a goal against them.
The wind increased when Lopez Coteron made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Octavio Porfirio hit a great ball. If Bernabe Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Atlético Arenillas got a freekick which was hit by Xzaver Garival. Formentera's Bernabe Bilintx got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Barrufet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Barrufet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santo Illan went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Formentera booed when Atlético Arenillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xzaver Garival didn't get a good kick on the ball.
