After 7 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Prestes. 18 minutes into the game, Davi Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samurai Champions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goblins F.C. the free kick. In the 18th minute, Davi Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samurai Champions FC's Anderson Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis de Almeida in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Samurai Champions FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Willian Carioca who took care of the corner kick. Dênis de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Anderson Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Giuseppe Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willian Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Pedro Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Anderson Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dênis de Almeida. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when Samurai Champions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Saldanha came free, but Clóvis Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Samurai Champions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Anderson Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Luís Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clóvis Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When Giuseppe Perez fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samurai Champions FC's protests and gave Giuseppe Perez a yellow card for diving instead. Anderson Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Lara in the 80th minute of play. Geovânio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Anderson Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anderson Porto having to interfere. When Zé Augusto Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samurai Champions FC's protests and gave Zé Augusto Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Augusto Furtado hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Clóvis Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Saldanha in the 96th minute of play. The Samurai Champions FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Goblins F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
