Alfons Öberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jacob Hauvers made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Neijsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Winthont FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after FC Kurdistan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Floris Talsma took the corner. The Winthont FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Winthont FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
