Cesar Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 3 minutes into the match, Aitor Cintron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesar Peyo. Depor Alex Return's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aitor Cintron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 9 played minutes Depor Alex Return got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Astigar. Jesper Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Ricardinho Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SeleSantos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aitor Cintron in the 16th minute of play forced Depor Alex Return's goalkeeper Cesar Peyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesar Peyo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by SeleSantos FC's Aitor Cintron. But to his dismay, Aitor Cintron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. SeleSantos FC were furious when Frederico de Moraes was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dinei Pinheiro went to the wrong direction when Gastón Hernández was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save SeleSantos FC from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Chucho came free, but Dinei Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Depor Alex Return's Cesar Peyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aitor Cintron in the 33rd minute of play. After 88 minutes, Timoteo Sansone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Depor Alex Return and the SeleSantos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. SeleSantos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesper Åberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
