Júnior Veloso started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Bebeto Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capivara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Veloso in the 10th minute of play forced Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Nestor Caunedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Furtado to maneuver through the defense. João Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Obregón Tendiero sent off a good shot on target. Porteño Prowess FC's Nestor Caunedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Sena in the 15th minute of play. When Zeruko Sardaneta fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porteño Prowess FC's protests and gave Zeruko Sardaneta a yellow card for diving instead. Zeruko Sardaneta hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Pereira to maneuver through the defense. João Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Obregón Tendiero's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Erasmo Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Porteño Prowess FC's Obregón Tendiero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ordonez Cortazar kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Bebeto Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Caunedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Pinheiro in the 42nd minute of play forced Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Nestor Caunedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Obregón Tendiero in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Obregón Tendiero in the 56th minute of play forced Capivara FC's goalkeeper João Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Caunedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Sena in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Porteño Prowess FC's goalkeeper Nestor Caunedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebeto Sarmento. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Nestor Caunedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 67th match minute, Porteño Prowess FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Bracero to maneuver through the defense. Obregón Tendiero scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Capivara FC's Júnior Veloso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestor Caunedo. Nestor Caunedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. João Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Obregón Tendiero in the 84th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Pereira. The audience was convinced that Obregón Tendiero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Fernandez was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Betão Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capivara FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
