In the 12th match minute, Sipo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Luz to maneuver through the defense. Lúcio das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Décio Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ekzema F.V.'s Fabinho Sarmento in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sipo EC's Lúcio das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Sarmento in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Sipo EC defense, Fabinho Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio das Neves. The Sipo EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio das Neves should have stopped the shot. Ekzema F.V.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Marcinho Vianna scored to the left of an out of position Norberto Barreto, making the score, 1-1. Sipo EC's Lúcio das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Sarmento in the 32nd minute of play. Marcinho Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Luiz Guilherme de Almeida took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Norberto Barreto to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Vianna in the 44th minute of play forced Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Norberto Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Norberto Barreto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Norberto Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Vianna in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcinho Vianna made a kick off. When Carlos Fernando Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekzema F.V.'s protests and gave Carlos Fernando Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. After 50 played minutes Ekzema F.V. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Novaes. Pedro Luís de Lima hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Luiz Guilherme de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sipo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcinho Vianna's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sipo EC the free kick. Renan Luz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norberto Barreto. Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
