An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand Boissin in the 13th minute of play forced Real Versa FC's goalkeeper Júlio César to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Jacquier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio César having to interfere. After some careless play in the Stade Ygossais defense, Cássio Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valérien Jouglet. The Stade Ygossais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valérien Jouglet should have stopped the shot. Valérien Jouglet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Arruda in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Jefferson Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valérien Jouglet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Borges in the 29th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Jefferson Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valérien Jouglet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manfredo Borges went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Real Versa FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Christiano Arruda hit a great ball. Armand Boissin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio César read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Felipe Sampaio hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Arruda in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Stade Ygossais got a freekick which was hit by Cédric Louison. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Armand Boissin made the kick off in the second half. Júlio César stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Jacquier's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Stade Ygossais got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Blaison. In the 56th minute of the match Cássio Peixoto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valérien Jouglet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Real Versa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stade Ygossais the free kick. The supporters of Stade Ygossais booed when Real Versa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Versa FC's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armand Boissin in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Real Versa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Tinoco to maneuver through the defense.
