After 12 minutes Greenbay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stratos Boulgouridis who took care of the corner kick. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Greenbay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stratos Boulgouridis was slow to take the kick. During this time TSV Delliehausen's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Linus Mattes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Greenbay's Harvey Davies did a great save. In the 15th minute Jean-Marc Debut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Heintz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Firmino in the 18th minute of play. TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save TSV Delliehausen from getting a goal against them. Harvey Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarkko Loikala, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Debut in the 37th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Harvey Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Efren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Rafael Heintz made a huge save. Jürgen Behnke scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harvey Davies, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Greenbay's Pau Torres got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the Greenbay defense, Jürgen Behnke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Davies. The Greenbay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Davies should have stopped the shot.
