In the 8th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Titus Kohler to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Tolek Dankowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smallwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Dankowski in the 12th minute of play. Tolek Dankowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smallwood having to interfere. The throw-in from Einar Vestberg in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santos FC's Mike Richardson. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Wara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Zmărăndache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Vitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Wara's Tolek Dankowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Smallwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Omer Guyomarch in the 83rd minute. The corner ended in Omer Guyomarch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood did a great save. Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Santos FC from getting a goal against them. The Santos FC fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, Martin Buch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Santos FC's Dominic Albright broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Wara's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Abdelnasser Mohand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terence Nicholas in the 96th minute of play forced Wara's goalkeeper Abdelnasser Mohand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wara's performance. The match ended with a win for Wara.
