Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Reis in the 3rd minute of the match. When Dadá Macedo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Carroll Hathaway was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Flávio Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Femke Bol made a huge save. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Victor Kaur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Yuri Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Hartz came free, but Carroll Hathaway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Doni Leme got a free kick in the 21st minute. Eugeniusz Bielenda struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Carroll Hathaway didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figueira SC FSCMZ. Urtzi Zamorano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Carroll Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Femke Bol got control of the ball when Flávio Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dadá Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Carroll Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Femke Bol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Prata in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Pastor Hartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Figueira SC FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Macedo in the 45th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuri Reis to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Armando Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sipo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Figueira SC FSCMZ the free kick. In the 51st match minute, Sipo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Prado to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dadá Macedo got free with Carroll Hathaway in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 58 played minutes Figueira SC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Reis. 64 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Macedo came free, but Carroll Hathaway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Doni Leme hit a great ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Yuri Reis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Dadá Macedo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute Yuri Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Costa's late challenge caught a Figueira SC FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráusio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, one of Sipo EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sipo EC. The goalkeeper, Carroll Hathaway, was totally fooled by Figueira SC FSCMZ's Yuri Reis, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 83 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Reis came free, but Carroll Hathaway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Linares hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Urtzi Zamorano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carroll Hathaway in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Femke Bol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Gerber in the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Yuri Reis notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Figueira SC FSCMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
