Cadu Team's attentive Mazinho Barreto managed to snatch the ball when Carlos Eduardo Melo made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, Uruguaiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Britto to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadu Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguaiana the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Downing in the 88th minute of play forced Uruguaiana's goalkeeper André Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aníbal Varela struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Gelu Lepuș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguaiana. Cadu Team's Hugo Alcântara was substituted for Mattias Downing. André Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Alcântara in the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Uruguaiana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cadu Team throughout the match.
